With a big recruitment cycle coming up, the CCF talent department wanted to identify opportunities to improve the applicant experience and update the Career site to align with new guest-facing company website branding, the upcoming Fall recruitment campaign, and more targeted applicant needs including ADA compliance.
A key push for the project was a high drop rate of 62% before starting applications on the site.
- Pinpoint usability issues
- Update visuals to align with modern branding
- Update content to effectively reflect value proposition
- Investigate additional solutions to increase application start rate
- Decrease manual search time
- Be able to find individuals and restaurant locations through key word searching
To meet the fall recruitment campaign timeline, the project deliverables were broken into two phases: Campaign Update & Full Redesign
Updated how we voice our value proposition to applicants
- Built a consistent storyline throughout website
- Matched photography to campaign
Updated UI within technical limitations of iCIMS platform
- Ensured consistent color palette and typography that align with modern branding
- Identified and fixed usability problem areas indicated through user testing and analytics to increase accessibility
- Reviewed available "bricks" and work within templates
Redesigned structure and layout of website to be storyline driven and intuitive to the user
- Added dynamic components to infuse energy into page
- Integrated more call to actions
- Redesigned navigation to bring visibility to key pages
Added additional pages to the architecture to build fast track paths for alumni and referrals
Full redesign of the career site is expected to be released Fall 2024 due to limitations of external vendor. Following this project, iCIMS rebuilt their sprint structure and website building process based on our team's feedback.
